Privacy Policy

PhotoLocationWizard is developed by Jacob Kindberg. This policy explains what data the app handles and how your privacy is protected.

No Data Collection

PhotoLocationWizard does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Specifically:

Photo Library Access

The app requests access to your Photos library so you can review photos that are missing location data and add a location to them. This access is required for the app to function. Your photos and their metadata are read and modified only on your device — they are never uploaded to a server, shared with third parties, or transmitted off-device by the app.

Data Stored on Your Device

PhotoLocationWizard stores a small amount of information locally on your device to support its features:

This information stays on your device. It is not synced, backed up, or shared by the app. Removing the app from your device deletes this data.

Map Tiles

The app uses Apple's MapKit framework to display maps showing the locations of nearby photos. Map imagery is provided by Apple and is governed by Apple's own privacy practices. Your specific photo locations are not sent to Apple or any other map provider as identifiable user data by PhotoLocationWizard.

Children's Privacy

Because PhotoLocationWizard collects no personal information from anyone, no consent for collection is required under children's privacy regulations such as COPPA or GDPR-K.

Third-Party Services

PhotoLocationWizard does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is ever updated, the new version will be published at https://photolocationwizard.com/privacy.html with an updated effective date. You are encouraged to review it from time to time.
